Hip Slow Cooker Bread



With a slow cooker, you can enjoy freshly baked bread with little work. This recipe makes a tasty loaf with a crunchy outside and a soft middle.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Cooking spray or extra olive oil for greasing

Instructions:

Warm water and sugar should be mixed together in a large bowl

Add the yeast to the water and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes

After that, it will start to foam

Mix the yeast with the flour, salt, and olive oil

Mix until you get a dough

For about 5 minutes, knead the dough on a floured surface until it is smooth and springy

Use cooking spray or olive oil to grease the inside of the slow cooker

Take the dough and roll it into a round loaf

Then, grease the slow cooker and put the loaf in it

The dough should rise for one to two hours, or until it doubles in size

Cover the slow cooker with a clean kitchen towel

Take the lid off the slow cooker and turn the heat down to low

Let the bread rise for two to three hours, or until it is golden brown and fully cooked

Take the bread out of the slow cooker with care and let it cool on a wire rack

Then, cut it up and serve it
