Hash Brown Egg White Nests



These Hash Brown Egg White Nests are a tasty and pretty way to start the day. For a great breakfast in the morning, try hash brown nests filled with fluffy egg whites and melted cheddar cheese.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups frozen hash browns
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large egg whites
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 400F 200C

In a bowl, mix the frozen hash browns, shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper

Coat a muffin tin with cooking spray to prevent sticking

Divide the hash brown mixture into four equal parts and place each portion into a muffin cup

Press the mixture along the sides and bottom to form a nest-like shape

Bake the hash brown nests in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and crispy

Remove the nests from the oven and carefully crack one egg white into each nest

Return the muffin tin to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the egg whites are set but the yolks are still runny

Carefully remove the nests from the muffin tin using a fork or spoon

Season with more salt and pepper if desired, and serve hot
